چکیده

Abstract Background Remote dielectric sensing (ReDSTM) is a recently introduced non-invasive electromagnetic-based technology to quantify lung fluid levels (Figure 1A). The association between ReDS values and invasively measured hemodynamics, particularly among those with small body size, remains uncertain. Methods Consecutive patients chronic heart failure who were admitted our institute underwent right catheterization as well simultaneous measurement at clinically stable conditions Sep Nov 2021 prospectively included. correlation PCWP was investigated. Results A total of 30 (median 79 [73, 84] years old, 13 men) Median value 26% (22%, 28%). had moderate (r=0.698, p<0.001; Figure 1B), even height <155 cm. cutoff 28% predicted >15 mmHg sensitivity 0.70 specificity 0.75. Conclusions might be promising tool estimate cardiac pressure in failure, smaller size. Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Non-Invasive Determination of Blood Glucose Levels by Optical Waveguide

Objective: Today, there are various non-invasive techniques available for the determination of blood glucose levels. In this study, the level of blood glucose was determined by developing a new device using near-infrared (NIR) wavelength, glass optical waveguide, and the phenomenon of evanescent waves. Materials and Methods: The body's interstitial fluid has made possible the development of ne...

Non-invasive and Minimally-invasive Hemodynamic Monitors

Introduction Hemodynamic monitoring is typically performed to ensure tissue oxygenation in critically ill patients in different settings. Until recently the pulmonary artery catheter (PAC) was widely used for this task in order to assess cardiac output (CO), the primary determinant of oxygen delivery. Today, a variety of minimally invasive hemodynamic monitors are available decreasing the wides...

Effect of Cobalt Supplementation on Gas Production Measurements, Estimated Energy Values and Microbial Protein, in Vitro

In vitro gas production techniques simulate the rumen fermentation process and they have been used to evaluate the potential of feeds to supply nutrients to ruminants. Thus, effects of various levels of cobalt supplementation on gas production and rumen fermentation were investigated using an in vitro gas production technique. Ground samples (100 mg DM) of 70% wheat straw and 30% concentrate we...

Locally Estimated Hemodynamic Response Function and Activation Detection Sensitivity in Heroin-Cue Reactivity Study

Introduction: A fixed hemodynamic response function (HRF) is commonly used for functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) analysis. However, HRF may vary from region to region and subject to subject. We investigated the effect of locally estimated HRF (in functionally homogenous parcels) on activation detection sensitivity in a heroin cue reactivity study. Methods: We proposed...
